Where do you get this statistic from? Without a source, I have no way to verify what you say.
I use iTunes, but I still buy CD's. The classical music store I regularly use is always full of people purchasing CD's (and DVD's).
I have not yet used the iTunes store, I have nothing against purchasing music online in this fashion, I just don't have a reason to do it. Seeing my local classical music store so busy tells me that there's some information missing in your report.
